Annual assumptions used throughout the projection. Figures are illustrative.

Surplus income goes into each person’s ISA up to £20,000 of contributions per modeled year, then into their cash balance. Scheduled ISA additions count toward that limit.

NEW PLAN GUIDE

Start with the essentials

Step 1 of 4

Who is this plan for?

Enter yearly pay before tax. Job income stops at that person’s retirement age.

01PeopleNames, dates of birth and optional second person⌄

Add both people’s income and assets below. Each person has their own retirement age and tax calculation; household expenses are shared.

02AssetsPension, ISA, cash, property and mortgage⌄

Add pension, ISA, cash or property items. Set monthly additions on funds. For a property, tick Mortgaged to enter its balance and payment schedule. Tick Add to Expenses to show each schedule in cashflow.

Unlinked additions use surplus income after spending. Linked additions appear in Expenses and can use other available funds. Pension tax relief is not modelled. Property is excluded from spendable funds.

03IncomeJobs, State Pension, DB pensions and more⌄

Add each regular income source. State Pension starts at the age calculated from its owner’s date of birth; an annuity is created from the Shape section. Partner sources appear when you include a partner.

Jobs, DB pensions, rental profit and other taxable income share the owner’s Income Tax allowance. Rental profit is assumed to equal spendable cash. National Insurance and rental-specific reliefs are not modelled. Pension tax ↗ · Rental tax ↗

04ExpensesEssential and discretionary spending⌄

Enter household costs once and tag each as essential or discretionary. Linked asset additions and property payments appear here automatically.

Amounts are entered in today’s pounds. Linked expenses are edited in Assets. Property payments are essential and run through their chosen end age.

    A NOTE ON THE NUMBERS

    What’s included

The projection starts at the client’s current age and uses cash or ISA funds to bridge years before pension access. Income, expenses and assets are separate items; each pension can fund an annuity toward the chosen household target. Property equity is shown separately. Mortgage payments follow the dates on each property item, with the balance assumed cleared after the end age.

Tax uses 2026/27 rules throughout. National Insurance, rental-specific reliefs, pension contribution tax relief, capital gains, dividends, fees, benefits, protected allowances and future policy changes are not modelled. Figures are illustrations, not quotes or personal financial advice.

Lifetime annuity benchmarks: HL, 8 Oct 2026. Fixed-term bridge examples: Standard Life figures reported 12 Oct 2026 for an age-65 buyer, £100,000 purchase, 5 or 10 years and 50% maturity value. Other terms are illustrative estimates from those examples. Both people are assumed alive through the chart. Actual quotes will vary.
